This paper examines the concepts of globalisation, human rights and social studies curriculum, the relationships among them and highlights the integrating elements in the existing social studies curriculum in Nigeria for studying globalization and human rights-related subject matter. The paper recommends the restructuring of the Nigerian Social Studies Curriculum at the Junior School level with the active involvement of, and collaborations among, the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC), Social Studies Association of Nigeria (SOSAN), Nigerian Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and other relevant non-governmental and intergovernmental organization for a more pro-active approach towards the human right and international interdependency education in Nigeria.
